“The life of Koryosaram who preserved their roots in Central Asia, now revisited in Poseung!”
The 2025 Pyeongtaek World Culture Weeks returns with the Koryosaram Culture Week.
The Culture Week this time sheds light on the history of Koryosaram in Pyeongtaek and offers opportunities to experience both the familiar and unique aspects of their culture. Visitors can enjoy performances featuring Koryosaram participants, traditional games, tasting booths with Koryosaram-style snacks, historical exhibitions, and cultural classes.
In addition, special booths and events will introduce the distinctive cultures of Central Asia, where many Koryosaram communities have lived, offering an exotic glimpse into their traditions.
It will be a meaningful time to experience the roots and lives of the Korean diaspora while deepening mutual cultural understanding.
We warmly welcome your interest and participation.
